Welcome to the Mississauga Executive Centre (MEC), a premier, Class A, office complex in downtown Mississauga residing at one of the City’s most prestigious intersections: Hurontario/Robert Speck.
Canadian businessman, philanthropist and chairman of Shipp Corporation Limited, Harold Gordon Shipp was born in January 1926 to Gordon, a farmer turned custom home builder. After becoming a full partner in his father’s new enterprise in 1946, G.S. Shipp and Son, it was incorporated just one year later. In 1978, Shipp's company entered into high-rise commercial development with the commencement of an office park known as the Mississauga Executive Centre!
The complex is surrounded by downtown Mississauga’s vast selection of amenities and services including Square One Shopping Centre, the Mississauga transit line and the GO transit station. MEC is situated on 26 acres of luscious landscaping, which links to walking trails along Cooksville Creek. MEC provides the perfect location for organizations who value being central to three major expressways, giving direct access to Pearson International Airport, as well as easy access to the Toronto financial district and the 400 Series Highways.
WE BELIEVE IN GOING ABOVE AND BEYOND SO THAT OUR TENANTS CAN SUCCEED, AND BELIEVE IN CREATING A STRONG BUSINESS COMMUNITY AT THE BUILDING.
By hosting various building events and appreciation functions, we provide our tenants with the opportunity to interact with one another and explore synergies between their businesses while networking. We also provide lobby space for their events, which helps them to achieve their fundraising goals and spread awareness for great causes. Our engagement has fostered various tenants to form relationships with each other and explore news ways to support each other. For example:
- We offer tables and booths to our tenants to set up and promote their services at our annual Tenant BBQ and to market their services and offer giveaways to the occupants. This is also a key networking opportunity for all of our occupants.
- We support tenant’s events by providing lobby space free of charge for their charity programs; we donate prizes and gifts, and also communicated the events via e-memo to all of the tenant contacts.
- In January 2014, we launched our Twitter Account (@MissExecCentre) which is a powerful outlet for our tenants with respect to communications, networking and receiving up to the minute news on local businesses, charities, City hosted events, traffic and weather updates.
